APsystems 2.4 meter (7.8 feet) trunk cable for their DS3 micro-inverters (backward compatible with the older YC600 as well). Unlike earlier versions, this cable has 10 AWG conductors for higher current-carrying capacity. Up to 4 DS3 micro-inverters can be connected to a single string of AC trunk cable fused/breakered at 20 Amp, up to 6 DS3 micro-inverters on a 30A branch circuit. Each trunk cable string should be terminated with an AC Bus End Cap, and any unused trunk cable connectors can be plugged with an AC Bus TCONN Cap. To unlock the micro-inverter’s connector from the AC Bus Trunk Cable a Connector Unlock Tool is needed. PLEASE NOTE: The connectors on this trunk cable come with a “cover” of sorts installed. This cover needs to be removed before connecting the APS micro-inverter, or it won’t fit. Just pull on it, and the cover comes off.
