A card stock window poster for a Helen Shapiro performance with The Beatles as one of the support acts. It took place at the Empire Theatre, Sunderland, England on 9th February 1963. The show was part of The Beatles first ever UK tour and to our knowledge no paper posters exist from the tour. The graphics and design of the poster are extremely bright and bold with The Dynamic Beatles listed directly under Helen Shapiro on the bill. At the time of the performance The Beatles just had two single releases. ‘Love Me Do’ released on 5th October 1962 is listed above their group name in bold white lettering and ‘Please Please Me’ released on 11th January 1963. At the time of the Sunderland show ‘Please Please Me’ sat at number 3 in the UK charts.
