The Dell EMC PowerEdge R640 is a versatile 1U rack server designed for various data-driven workloads. The R640 supports up to two Intel Xeon Scalable processors, each supporting up to 28 cores per processor. The R640 has 24 DDR4 memory slots, 12x per processor allowing a maximum of 3TB of RAM. The R640 is ideal for dense software-defined storage, virtualization, private cloud, and High-Performance Computing (HPC). The R640 includes multiple integrated network interface options, including 1GbE, 10GbE, enabling efficient data communication within the server and with external systems. The R640 is configurable with 8 x 2.5″ hard drives on the front panel.
