Ok rock tumbling groups always tell people to go for the lortones or thumlers. But I have a Lortone and I like my Nat Geo tumbler more. The grit that comes with the kit will not shine your rocks up super shiny. I do recommend getting different grit (Polly Plastics or The Rock Shed have great grits) but the tumbler itself is really solid. Pros it has over a Lortone 3A? On and off switch (This is really important to me as a disabled tumbler) Count down timer (I really appreciate that) Smaller barrel as not everyone needs 10-15 lbs of rocks going at once. Even 4 lbs is getting too much for me) Cons: It has a faster RPM than the other tumblers so CHECK YOUR ROCKS more often! Every few days! But all in all it’s a quiet reliable tumbler and I like it.
