This album of baroque pieces for Trumpet as played by Wynton Marsalis, accompanied by Raymond Leppard conducting the English Chamber Orchestra is more than superb. It does not sound as if Marsalis is performing on a B flat trumpet; the register of the tones for the playing here indicate a higher register trumpet for most, if not all of the numbers presented.
